1 cup soft shortening
1½ cups sugar
2 eggs
½ tsp. salt
2¾ cups flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda

2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. sugar
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar and eggs; add sifted dry ingredients;
Roll dough into balls the size of walnuts; Roll balls into sugar and cinnamon mixture and chill 1 hour;
Bake at 400º on ungreased cookie sheet for 8 to 10 minutes.
