1/4 teaspoons white pepper
2 pounds sauerkraut (Drained)
1 1/2 c water
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon caraway seeds
1 teaspoon sugar
1 large onion, minced
2 tablespoons fat
2 tablespoons paprika
1 1/2 pounds lean pork, cubed
1 cup sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Add pepper, sauerkraut, water, bay leaves, caraway seeds, sugar to a heavy pan or Dutch oven and simmer for 45 minutes. Sauté onion and fat. Add paprika to onion and fat and stir until darkened.. Add the pork to the onion mixture and let cook for several minutes, turning. Combine with sauerkraut mixture. Simmer slowly, covered, at least one hour. Add meat stock or water if needed. Add sour cream and heat through. Serve with boiled potatoes.
