Pullen's Pumpkin Pie Recipe

Chris and Ginger Pullen


¼ tsp salt
1 ⅓ cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
½ tsp ginger
4 eggs
2 cups milk
3 cups cooked pumpkin

5 cups flour
½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
4 tsp brown sugar
1lb pure lard
1 egg
3 tsp vinegar
¾cup cold water

Prepare Crust:

Mix first 5 ingredients together until crumbly.

Add egg and vinegar. Begin to slowly add cold water as you mix.

Blend into a ball.

Split mixture in two and place in pie plate.

Prepare Filling:

Mix all ingredients together.

Bake 450º for 10 minutes then 325º for 35 minutes.
