Grandma Hill


4 cups sifted flour
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground nutmeg
tsp salt
2 eggs well beaten
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp melted butter
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla

Sift together all dry ingredients.

Beat eggs and sugar together.

Stir in butter, milk and vanilla.

Add dry ingredient, stirring until smooth.

Kneed dough lightly on a floured bard.

Roll out to 3" thickness. Cut with floured doughnut cutter.

Fry in hot oil (370) turning once.

Dry on paper towel then roll in sugar.
