Pick cucumbers, wash and dry them
Sterilize jars and dry them
Pack cucumbers in jars
add a little saccharin, celery seed, mixed pickling spices, mustard seed and a small piece of alum
Use enough vinegar to cover cucumbers, when it boils fill jars and seal tight
