Stem, wash, and dry strawberries. Slice strawberries and place in a large glass bowl. I use and egg slicer to slice the strawberries. Mash strawberries to the desired size you want. I use a pastry cutter. Add sugar and mix. Once sugar has dissolved. In a small pot combine water and Sure Jell on medium heat bring to a boil. Boil for 1 minute. Add pectin and stir to combine. Ladle the jam in the jars, cleaning the edges before placing the ring and tap on. Leave jars out on the counter for 24 hours before placing in the freezer.

Personal Notes:
This freezer jam is a family favorite my Mamaw taught me how to make. This delicious jam can be served inside hot buttermilk biscuits, toast, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, over ice cream, or just eat with a spoon.
