Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 oz cheddar cheese, grated
3 tbsp minced chives
1/2 cup bacon, cooked and chopped
2 cups flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 450°

In a small bowl toss together cheese, chives, and bacon. Set aside.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Use a pastry cutter, or two forks to cut in the butter.

Add the milk and stir just enough to bring the mixture together. This should make a soft dough. Gently fold in the cheese mixture.

Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead for one minute. Pat or roll dough out to 1/2 to 3/4in thickness.

Cut into rounds. You can use a biscuit cutter or the mouth of a glass cup.

For crisp biscuits, place far apart on an ungreased baking sheet. For fluffier biscuits, place them close together on an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake 12-15 minutes or until brown on the top.
