2 sticks Imperial margarine
cup brown sugar
white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
tsp salt
3 cups Quaker Oats (not instant)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350
In separate bowl mix flour, soda and salt. Set aside
Mix margarine and sugar until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla and blend well.
Add dry ingredients and combine.'
Add the oats and mix well.

Drop by rounded tablespoon onto cookie sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes
Cool 1 minute on baking sheet them remove to wire rack.

All done by hand using a wooden spoon. John never uses the standing mixer.
