"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

3 - 4 c. vegetable oil
¾ c. soy sauce
1 c. lemon juice
⅔ c. brown sugar
1 tsp. black pepper
1 T. garlic powder

Directions:
Mix all ingredients together in a large, resealable freezer bag. Place thawed chicken breast or chicken thighs in marinate and place in refrigerator overnight. Flip the bag several times.

This works great for grilling chicken on the grill, but be VERY CAREFUL because the oil has a tendency to CATCH ON FIRE!

***Using heavy duty Reynolds Wrap on the grill helps cut down on the fire.
