1 cup white sugar
1 cup molasses
1 cup shortening
1 heaping tsp. ginger powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
½ cup boiling water
Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the shortening and sugar, add molasses and beat well. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed ingredients. Add the boiling water, and mix well. The dough should be fairly stiff.
