4 lbs pork spareribs, cut into serving size pieces
1 medium onion, quartered
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

Sauce:
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup chili sauce
1/4 cup Worcestershire
2 Tbsp chopped onions
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp dry mustard
dash Cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder

Directions:
Directions:
In a large skillet kettle or Dutch oven, place ribs and onions and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add enough water to cover ribs and bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours or until tender. Drain.

Combine all sauce ingredients in a saucepan and simmer uncovered for 1 hour or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally. Arrange ribs on a rack in a broiler pan, brush with sauce, and broil 5 inches from the heat for 5 minutes on each side, brushing frequently with sauce.
