2 eggs
4 C flour (or more)
1/2 t salt (omit if salted butter is used)
1 t cardamom

Or, Moms Version, under "Better"
1 lb butter
1 1/3 C sugar
6 egg yolks
5 cups of flour
1/2 t salt
1 t Cardamom
1 t vanilla
