20 large apples
2 oranges
6 cinnamon stick
2 tsp cloves
2 tsp allspice
1 tsp nutmeg
1 cup brown sugar (or to taste)

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and core apples. Quarter the ( leave skins on). Put apples in large stockpot. Cover with water at least 2Ē. Add quartered oranges, spices, and brown sugar. Bring to boil, Lower temperature and simmer for 2 hours.

Remove oranges. Smash apples with masher or wooden spoon. Return to a simmer and simmer uncovered for 1 hour.

Strain through a fine mesh strainer. Discard solids.

Refrigerate. Or, if canning, return cider to heat. Put hot cider in hot jars. Boil in hot water bath for 20 minutes (pints). When sealed, store up top 1year. If jars donít seal, refrigerate and use within 1month.
