c. sugar
c. brown sugar - firmly packed
c. margarine or butter softened
c. peanut butter
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 c. all-purpose or unbleached flour
1 tsp. baking soda
tsp. salt

Heat oven to 375
1. In large bowl, beat sugar, brown sugar and margarine until light and fluffy.
2. Add peanut butter, milk, vanilla and egg; beat well.
3. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
4. Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well.
5. Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
6. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets; flatten balls in crisscross pattern with fork dipped in sugar.
7. Bake at 375 for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
