1 clove garlic, crushed
1 ½ cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
¼ cup chopped fresh parsley

Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium low heat. Add cream and simmer for 5 minutes, then add garlic and cheese and whisk quickly, heating through. Stir in parsley and serve.

Alfredo sauce seems like it should be hard to make, right? It just feels rich and fancy and complicated. But, you've been fooled! It's sooo easy and only uses like 5 ingredients, 6 if you count the pasta you are going to serve it on.

Speaking of pasta, you need a good sturdy noodle for this, which is why it's usually served over fettuccine.

Also, you can toss in cooked shrimp or chicken and heat through before serving.
