1 pkg Betty Crocker Supermoist Cake Mix (any flavor except fudge, marble, or carrot)
1/2 C shortening
1/3 C butter, softened
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 egg

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. Mix about half of dry cake mix with rest of ingredients, stir in remaining cake mix. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2" apart on ungreased cooke sheet. Bake 9-11 min (centers will be soft). Cool 1 min before moving from cookie sheet.
Variations: Mix 1/2 C chopped nuts into dough.
