Single pie crust for 9-inch pie
3 eggs beaten
1 cup sugar
1 cup dark corn syrup
6 T. butter, melted and cooled
1 T. flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
¼ cup bourbon whiskey
1½ cups pecan halves or pieces, lightly toasted
Sweetened whipped cream

- Line a 9-inch pie pan with crust.
- Preheat oven 400º
- In a large bowl, beat together the eggs and sugar. Mix in the corn syrup, butter, flour, vanilla, chocolate, and bourbon. Pour into the pie crust and arrange the pecans on top.
- Bake 20 minutes, then reduce heat to 325ºF and continue baking 30 minutes, or until set and a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Serve with sweetened whipped cream.
