1pound Mushrooms
6tbsp Butter OR Margarine
2C finely chopped Onions
1/2tsp Sugar
1/4C Flour
1C water
1 3/4C Chicken broth
1C dry Vermouth
1tbsp Salt
1/4tsp Pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Slice 1/3 of the mushrooms and finely chop the rest

In a large sauce pot, melt butter

Add onions and sugar

Sauté over medium heat, stirring frequently- for about 15 mins OR until golden

Add sliced and chopped mushrooms

Sauté for 5mins

Stir in flour until smooth

Cook for 2mins stirring continuously

Pour in water and stir until smooth

Add remaining ingredients and heat to boil- stirring constantly

Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 10mins
