5½ c juice
3½ c sugar
1 pkg low sugar Sure-Jell(pink)

Place grapes in pot with enough water to just cover. Bring to med high heat and cook till grapes are mushy. Smash with potato masher, extracting as much juice as possible, then strain through cheesecloth in a strainer.

Mix ¼ c sugar and pectin in small bowl. Bring juice to rolling boil, add pectin. Boil 1 minute stirring constantly. Add remainder of sugar and boil additional minute, stirring constantly. ladle into sterilized jars. Water bath for 5 min for pints, 8 min for quarts.

A candy thermometer can be used, most will say jelly. i dump some on a plate and see if its the right consistency.

When straining pulp and seeds from juice it can be retained to make wine.
