½ cup molasses
¼ cup butter
½ cup sugar
½ cup water
2 eggs
1½ cups flour
½ teaspoon nutmeg
½ teaspoon baking soda
Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter and sugar together
Beat to a cream, add eggs (well beaten) then molasses, nutmeg, water, and flour
Last dissolve soda in a little warm water
Steam 3 hours. Stiff
