1 12oz box bowtie pasta
1 lb fresh or frozen sugar snap peas (ok to substitute any veg: green beans, peas,
broccoli etc)
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 clove garlic, minced (added by contributor)
4oz. deli sliced ham, cut into strips (or leftover ham)
1C heavy cream
⅓C grated parmesan cheese

Cook pasta according to package directions, adding snap peas (veg) during last 2 minutes of cooking time. Drain, reserving 1/2C pasta water. Coat same pot with cooking spray. Add onion & garlic; cook over medium-high until softened, 4 minutes. Add ham; cook until lightly browned, 1-2 minutes. Stir in cream. Cook, stirring until slightly thickened, 3-5 minutes. Stir in cheese, pasta, snap peas (veg) and 1/4tsp pepper; gradually stir in reserved pasta water until mixture is creamy. If desired, sprinkle with chopped parsley.

This is delicious, a favorite of the Neil and Daniels families! Very versatile recipe as well, you can substitute the pasta shape (although stick with one that holds onto sauce well) and the vegetable! Good idea to stick with ham, that works best!
