2 lbs. walnuts chopped
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. butter melted (1 lb)
1 lb. filo dough

Syrup
2 c. sugar
2 c. water
juice from 1/2 lemon
1 c. honey

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar and cinnamon into chopped walnuts. Bruch 12x17 baking pan with butter, place 6 filo sheets in pan, brushing each sheet with butter. Sprinkle with 1/4 walnut mixture. Place 4 sheets of filo on top brushing each sheet with butter. Sprinkle again with 1/4 of walnut mixture. Reapeat process 2 more times ending with remaining filo on top. Brush top with butter. With sharpe knife score filo into diaminds or squares. Sprinkle top with a little ice water to prevent top sheets from curling. Bake at 350 for 45 to 60 minutes on middle rack until golden brown. For syrup bring sugar water and lemon juice to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and add 1 cup honey, mixing thoroughly. Pour cooled syrup over warm bakalva. Let set and cut.
