2 cans crescent rolls
1¼ pkg of cream cheese, softened
1 c sugar
1 egg, separated
1 tsp vanilla
Optional: pecans or walnuts, chopped

Directions:
In 9x13 pan, layer one package of crescent rolls on bottom, pinching together. Mix cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla. Spread over crescent rolls in pan. Put second package of crescent rolls over mixture, pinching edges together as best as possible. Whip egg white until foamy. Spread onto of crescent rolls and sprinkle with sugar (about ¼ c or less). Add chopped nuts over top, if using. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes until lightly browned.

I found if I lightly grease the pan, the cheese cake comes out easier.
