Directions:Mix together all of the ingredients (except crescent roll dough). Roll out crescent dough on a parchment or foil lined cookie sheet. Pinch together seams of crescent dough to form a rectangle (recipe-ready dough is a time saver). Spread filling over dough, leaving ¼ inch border from edge of dough. Roll up dough from long side and pinch together seams to seal shut. Wrap in wax/parchment paper or plastic wrap and put in refrigerator for at least 1 hour to firm up. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Remove roll from fridge and using a sharp, serrated knife cut into pinwheels about 1/2 inch thick and place on a non-stick cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and serve warm. |

Personal
Notes: This hot appetizer was a recipe that my grandma (or Nana as we called her) served every holiday, It was a favorite treat and soon she realized she needed to double the recipe to make us all happy and allow us to each have more than one pinwheel. This has become a family favorite and as far as we are concerned NO holiday is complete without serving Nana's special shrimp nics. A small way that we commemorate our very special "Nana"--forever in our hearts!
