2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup sugar
1 cup butter
candied cherries, halved

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 325º. Sift flour and sugar together into bowl. Cut butter in small pieces into flour & sugar mixture. Mix in with pastry blender or fingers until stiff dough forms.

Press firmly into lightly greases glass baking pan. Press a cherry half about every 1-2 inches. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until beginning to brown. Cut into squares while still warm..
