Loni's Instant Pot BBQ Baby Back Ribs |
Ingredients: |
Ingredients: 1-2 Racks Baby Back Ribs, (2½-3 Pounds) membrane removed and cut in half 4 Cups Apple Juice ½ Cup cider Vinegar ½ cup your favorite BBQ Sauce
Directions: |
Directions:Stack the ribs in Instant Pot. Pour in the apple juice and vinegar. Secure the lid and move the pressure release to sealing. Select the meat/stew setting and set cooking time for 20 minutes at high pressure. For meat/falling/off/the/bones ribs, set the cooking time for 25 minutes. Let the pressure release naturally for 15 minutes. While the pressure is releasing, preheat oven to 400º and line a sheet pan with aluminum foil. When 15 minutes have passed, move pressure release to venting to release any remaining steam. Open the pot and using a pair of tongs, transfer the ribs to the prepared sheet pan. Discard cooking liquid. Brush the ribs on both sides with barbeque sauce, then bake for about 10 minutes, until sauce is caramelized and browned. Then remove from oven, cut ribs apart and serve. |

Notes: *My daughter, Loni Gornick, and I have a little bit of a friendly competition going on with just about everything. Recently, the subject of Barbeque Ribs came up, centered on who has the best recipe. Mom’s done via a slow braise in the oven followed by a quick grill on the Weber? Or hers done in an ……Instant Pot? (Huh?) We decided to submit both to the Brooklife Cookbook and let the reader decide. Enjoy! PS: Both are pretty darn good! And even Mom has to admit that Loni's are pretty easy to prepare.
