1 cup butter
2 tsp vanilla
⅓ cup sugar
2 tsp water
2 cups flour
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
red & green sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and vanilla, add sugar, creaming mixture until ight and fluffy. Blend in water. Stir in flour, mixing well. Add nuts. Shape in 1" balls. Roll in colored sugar. Bake 1" apart on ungreased cookie sheet in slow oven, 325° 15-20 minutes or until firm to touch.

Cool some before removing from pan.

Debi's note: Make then smaller than an inch - they puff up. Bake 16 min.
