2 cups canned pumpkin
1 ½ c milk
¾ c brown sugar
¼ c granulated sugar
2 eggs, separated
1 Tbsp cinnamon
1 tsp each ginger and allpsice
½ tsp cloves
1 tsp vanilla
Unbaked deep dish pie crust
Whipped cream (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Separate eggs. Beat egg whites separately until stiff.
Put pumpkin, sugars, egg yolks, vanilla and spices in bowl and beat well.
Add milk and beat.
Add egg whites and fold in.
Pour mixture in unbaked deep dish pie crust.
Bake at 400º for 15 minutes to set crust; then back at 350º for one hour.
Pie is done when silver knife comes out clean.

Top with whipped cream as desired.
