1 c. soft shortening
1½ c. sugar
2 eggs
2 ¾ c. sifted flour
2 tsp. cream of tarter
2 tsp. soda
¼ tsp. salt
2 tbs. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix thoroughly shortening, sugar, and eggs. Sift together and stir in flour, cream of tarter, soda, and salt. Roll into balls the size of walnuts. Roll into mix of sugar and cinnamon. Place 2" apart in un-greased baking sheet. Bake until lightly brown, but still soft. Bake 400º.
