1 quart berries
1 ½ c. sugar
1 ½ c. water
4 ½ T. cornstarch
Red food coloring

Directions:
Cook all except berries until thick. Cool: pour over fresh berries in cooked pie shell. Serve with whipped cream. Sometimes I use about 1 T strawberry jello in hot mixture, or if I have extra berries, I mash them up and add them. It gives them more flavor.
