Pasta-1 cup, add to a saucepan with boiling water and boil for 15 minutes until soft. Drain water. Ready to serve.

Rice-¼ cup add to a sieve and rinse under cold water. Boil the kettle and add boiling water & the rice to the saucepan and boil for 12-15 minutes until soft. Drain water. Ready to serve

Couscous-¼ cup, add ½ cup of boiling water from kettle and it's done. Yep, no waiting, no draining just ready to serve.

Quinoa-¼ cup, add to a sieve and rinse under cold water. Boil the kettle and add one cup of boiling water & the quinoa to the saucepan and boil for 16 minutes until water absorbed. Ready to serve.

Any of these can be stirred into salads, soups or casseroles to make them more filling and can be made up and stored in the fridge for at least a week.

Couscous & quinoa can be tweaked with lemon juice and served with vegetables/salad/beans mixed in.
