2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
¾ cup Crisco® all-vegetable shortening
4-8 tablespoons cold water

Blend flour and salt in mixing bowl. Cut shortening in flour mixture using a pastry blender until mixture resembles course crumbs . Sprinkle 4 Tablespoons of water over flour mixture; mix gently with fork or pastry blender. Continue adding water until dough hold together.

Divide dough into two, forming a ball. Flatten down slightly and place between to sheets of parchment or freeze paper (wax side on dough). Roll out; turning over at least once to get a uniform thickness all around.

Remove parchment paper and ease dough onto pie plate. Fill unbaked crust with desired filling.

Roll out second ball in same manner. Lift onto filled pie. Trim dough within ¾ -inch overhang; fold top edge under bottom crust. Press edges together and flute. Cut slits in top crust. Bake according to recipe directions.

Pinwheels are a family favorite made from pie crust:

After rolling out dough, spread softened butter on flattened dough. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Roll up as one long tube. Slice up in approx. 1/4" widths. Place flat on baking sheet. Bake at 400 deg. for 20-25 minutes.
