1 heaping gallon tart shredded apples
6 cups water
5 cups sugar
2 cups instant clear gel (get at the Amish stores)
2 Tbsp vanilla
2 Tbsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. In a 12 qt mixing bowl, start with 2 cups water, 5 cups sugar, and 2 cups instant gel. Stir well and keep adding water a little at a time until all is used. Add vanilla and cinnamon. Stir well then dump in shredded apples. Mix with a big spoon put in an unbaked pie shell. You can put a crust on top or make crumbles to put on top. Bake for about 50 min.
