3 c. sugar
2 sticks of margarine
½ c. Crisco
5 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. all purpose flour (plain)
1 tsp. baking powder
a pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Grease and flour tube cake pan. Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt, and set aside. Cream butter and Crisco until fluffy. Add sugar gradually. Beat well. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Gradually add flour mixture and milk, beginning and ending with flour. Add vanilla. Pour mixture into prepared pan, and bake for about 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350º.
