2 1/4 cup sifted flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 sticks margarine, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
6 oz. semi sweet chocolate chips
2 cups walnuts, chopped

Chocolate Coating
12 oz.semi sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º.
Sift flour and salt together
Beat together margarine,sugars, eggs and vanilla in large bowl
Blend in flour mixture
Stir in chocolate chips
Shape dough into logs (2 x 1/2 inch)
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 350º for 12-15 minutes
Cool on wire rack

Melt chocolate chips and margarine over double boiler until blended and smooth

Dip ends of cookies into chocolate coating
Then roll into nuts
Place on wax paper
