1lb littlenecks 1 lb cubed swordfish 1 lb haddock or cod cubed, 1 tsp saffron thread 2 tbsp hot water 1/4 cup olive oil 1/2 cup chopped parsley 5 thinly sliced cloves garlic 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper 1 onion thinly sliced salt pepper 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar 1/2 cup dry white wine 1 28 oz can dice tomatoes 1 cup fish broth 4 slices crusty bread toasted(brodetto)

wash shellfish under cold water cut fish into cubes 1 inch in a small bowl combine saffron with warm water set aside. In a soup pot over med heat add parsley garlic red pepper cook 2 min add onion cook anther 5 min salt and pepper. Add vinegar wine cook for 3 min. stir in saffron adds tomatoes fish broth season to taste with salt/pepper Cover pot simmer 10 min. Add clams cover pot cook 5 min. when clams start to open add fish cubes cook another 5 min. Add red pepper to taste Ladle into bowls Put brodetto n top
