1 C unsalted butter, room temp
2 C sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
3/4 tsp salt
1 T baking powder
3 C sifted cake flour
1 C half and half
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar in mixer until light and fluffy. Scrape sides of bowl, then add eggs while mixer is on low, one at a time, scraping sides after each one. Add vanilla, and mix well. Combine dry ingredients, add one-third of dry ingredients to batter on low speed until well blended, then one-third of half an half. Continue this alternating ingredients, and beating well after each addition. Divide batter between prepared pans. Bake at 350 until cake springs back when lightly touched in center. About 25-30 min. Let cool 10 min, remove from pans and cool completely.
