12 inch cast iron skillet
3-4 medium-large russet potatoes
10 t. unsalted butter, divided
2 t. vegetable oil
1 cup chicken broth or stock
2 cloves garlic, crushed
Dash salt
Dash pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º.
Wash and peel potatoes and cut off ends. Slice potatoes into 1" slices and pat dry.
Heat 12 inch cast iron skillet on medium-high.
Add 4 t. butter and oil to skillet. Place potatoes in skillet. Season with salt and pepper.
Sear potatoes for 4-6 minutes on each side.
Pour chicken broth/stock in pan. Add crushed garlic.
Top potatoes with rest of butter.
Place in oven for 30 minutes or until potatoes are fork tender.
