2-3 regular-size cans of pork and beans, drain liquid
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 bottle of chili sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup Karo Dark syrup or maple syrup

Directions:

Mix all the ingredients in an oven-safe baking dish. Cover the top of the beans with bacon strips (optional).

Bake, covered at 250º for 1-1/2 hours. Uncover for the last 1/2 hour of baking time.
