Potatoes- 4 large peeled and diced Russett potato 2 tbsp butter salt pepper 1/2 cup whole milk black pepper salt. Fish- Butter for dish 2 tbsp veg oil 3 tbsp butter 1 coarsely chopped onion.3 tbsp flour 1 tsp dry mustard 2 1/2 cup whole milk heated until scalding 1 1/2 cup frozen peas 2 lbs white fish ( haddock) cut into 1-inch pieces.1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 2 tbsp chopped parsley.

Cook potatoes about 20 min mash salt pepper milk cover and set aside.Set oven to 400 degrees Butter a casserole dish,2/ 3 Quart dish. In a large skillet heat veg oil add 2 tbsp butter cook onion salt pepper stirring for 5 min. Whisk in flour sprinkle mustard over and. stir well. Stir in milk gradually whisking well as you do. Simmer 2 minutes. Add peas return to a boil. Add fish cook for about 1 min. Remove skillet from heat stir in 1/2 cup cheese and parsley Pour mixture into a casserole dish, top with mashed potatoes spread over fish mixture dot top with butter patties. Bake 25 minutes. Turn on broiler and get top a deep golden brown about 8 inches from the top, Do Not Burn.

Winter air and the smell of the ocean a hearty meal like this Some like shrimp added here. If you do add 1/2 lb and subtract 1/2 white fish. Add a green salad..
