2 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup softened butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 cup chopped dates
2 eggs
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts
1/3 cup fine chopped cherries
2 1/2 cups corn flakes, crushed
12 cherries, quartered

Directions:

Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt
Blend butter and sugar; add eggs and beat. add milk and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and nuts, dates & cherries. Mix well
Shape dough into balls (1 level tbsp for each) Roll balls in crushed corn flakes. Place on greased baking sheet. Top with 1/4 cherries
Bake 375º for 12 minutes or until lightly browned
