5 - 7 Tart Apples
3/4 c. Sugar
2 T. Flour
Dash of Salt
1 t. Cinnamon
1/4 t. Nutmeg
2 T. Butter

Directions:
Directions:
Pare apples and slice thin. Mix sugar, flour, salt, spices. Add to apples. Fill 9 inch pastry lined pie pan. Dot with butter and add a top crust. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake at 400º for 50 minutes. Cover pie crust with tinfoil to prevent burning.

I have used this recipe since college. If you have a ton of apples make this and freeze it. To thaw cook over medium heat until thawed, pour in a pie crust, and bake.
