3 pt. white sugar
1 pt. cream
1/4 lb. butter
14 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. pecans (chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Pour 1 pt. of the sugar into skillet and place over low heat - stir (with a wooden spoon.). Keep moving as not to burn.
Put cream and remaining sugar in large pan or kettle and boil slowly, stirring often.
When sugar is golden yellow pour it SLOWLY into the cream mixture. You MUST pour slowly in a thin stream and stir all the time while pour9ing.
Cook until firm ball (test in cold water). Then remove from heat and add soda and butter
Beat until thick - then add nuts - stir well
Drop by spoon full on waxed paper
