¾ c shortening or butter
1¼ c light brown sugar
2 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1¾ c all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
¾ tsp baking soda
1-2 c milk chocolate chips
½-1 c pecans(optional)
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Combine shortening, sugar, milk, vanilla, and egg till creamed. Mix flour, salt and baking soda together. Add to creamed mixture blend till smooth and add chips and pecans.
Drop by the spoonful onto cookie sheets and bake 8-10 min or till light brown.

This is the dough that was always in our freezer. wrap in aluminium foil and roll into log shape.Freeze. Slice and bake as above for fresh cookies anytime
