3/4 cup sugar
1 envelope gelatin, unflavored
1/2 cup water
1 cup cups sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Blend sugar and gelatin in a saucepan. Add water and mix well. Let stand 5 minutes. Bring to a rolling boil stirring constantly. Remove from heat and pour in heavy cream. In a bowl, mix sour cream and vanilla then gradually beat in hot sugar mixture using an electric hand-mixer.

Pour into a 4 or 5 cup mold or dish. Cover and chill until set ( at least 4 hours). Unmold and serve with lightly sugared strawberries or other fruit like blueberries.
