Ingredients:
Ingredients:
⅓ cup shortening (Crisco)
⅓ cup vegetable oil
⅓ cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
Use equal parts of ingredients and whisk until smooth either by hand or using a mixer.

Use pastry brush to generously brush paste onto cake pan making sure to get into the corners or crevices and up the sides.

Because this recipe calls for flour shortening and vegetable oil it does not affect the taste of the cake.

The paste can be stored at room temperature in an air tight container for up to 3 months. You can make more or less by using the equal parts of the ingredients.

Also you can substitute cocoa powder for the flour if making a chocolate cake.
