One batch of prepared dough from Almost-Famous Pretzels
8 hot dogs
⅓ c baking soda
3 c warm water

Preheat oven to 450º and grease a large baking sheet. Divide dough into 6 pieces. Roll and stretch each piece with the palms of your hands into a 30-inch rope, holding the ends and slapping the middle of the rope on the counter as you stretch. Cut each rope into 4 pieces.

Cut hot dogs into 3 pieces each. Wrap each hot dog with each piece of dough in a spiral.

Dissolve the baking soda in 3 cups warm water in a shallow baking dish. Gently dip each pretzel dog bite in the soda solution, then arrange on the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle with the coarse salt. Bake until golden, 8 to 10 minutes.
