Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
2 teaspoons almond extract
2 1/4 cups sugar
3 Tablespoons poppy seeds
1 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup applesauce

Glaze:
1/4 cup orange juice
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl and stir to blend. Add oil, milk eggs and applesauce and mix for two minutes. Pour into 2 large or 4 small lightly greased loaf pans that have been lined with parchment paper. Bake one hour at 350º F. The top of the loaf will crack. During the last 15 minutes of baking, make the glaze. Combine orange juice and sugar in saucepan and cook on high heat until the sugar melts and the glaze begins to boil. Remove from heat. When the bread is done, remove from pans and allow to rest 5 minutes. Then brush entire loaf with glaze. Allow to cool before cutting so the glaze can set up.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Delicious breakfast or dessert bread. I also have made it as muffins, and just glazed the muffin tops. But I like it as a bread the best.
