½ cup butter or margarine, softened
½ cup creamy peanut butter
¾ cup packed brown sugar
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon salt
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 Tablespoons granulated sugar
48 unwrapped Candy Kisses

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375º. In bowl, beat together butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, ¼ cup granulated sugar, egg, vanilla and salt until light and fluffy. Add flour and soda beating until blended. Shape dough into 48 balls. Roll in 3 Tablespoons sugar and bake on ungreased cookie sheet 8-10 minutes. Before removing hot cookies from baking sheet, immediately top each cookie with kiss and press down firmly. Cool on wire rack. Kisses will remain soft for at least an hour.
