3 cups cooked sweet potatoes, mashed (You can boil but I prefer to bake them)
1 stick butter, softened. (The butter can be cold if your potatoes are still hot)
¾ cup sugar
2 eggs
⅓ cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Topping:
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup all purpose flour
1 cup chopped nuts
⅓ cup milk
Dash of nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sweet potatoes, butter, sugar, eggs, milk and vanilla and mix well.
Pour into casserole dish.
Mix the topping ingredients together and put on top of sweet potato mixture
Bake at 325º for 30-40 minutes

Granny always made this with the nuts, but since Garrett is allergic to nuts I have often made it leaving the nuts out.
